Enjoy a mid-summer getaway with your family, or send your kids for one or several days of fly fishing in Granby Ranch!
Kids ages 8 & up, parents, grandparents and family members of all abilities are invited to fish with our amazing guides at a beautiful, protected & intimate location along the Fraser River in Grand County, Colorado!

This is our most exciting family fishing opportunity of the summer! Why? All other times of the year, fishing in Granby Ranch is limited to members and guests; we have exclusive access for our Shredder families on these 5 days!

We will set up camp at Beat 1 on the Fraser River within the Granby Ranch complex.

  • We will provide a pop-up tent and chairs for break-time, lunch, and to take shelter from weather if necessary.

  • Fees include day-use of all gear: rods/reels, waders/boots, tackle (leader/tippet/flies)

  • We will also have extra water, sunscreen, bug spray, a basic first aid kit, and a cooler

Please pack the following:

  • Hat and sunglasses-polarized lenses will provide you the best experience!

  • Water shoes or sandals that fasten securely (waders and boots available for use)

  • Change of clothes and clothes for a variety of weather-rain jacket, dry sweatshirt, dry pants, etc. Weather can (and does) change very quickly!

  • Sunscreen and bug spray

  • WATER!

  • Lunch and/or plenty of snacks as your child/family may need


The fine print

  • Granby Ranch allows Shredder families to fish with our guides on designated dates of the year. Each Shredder registration fee includes a $50 rod fee per angler. We handle delivery of rod fees to Granby Ranch.

  • Waivers are required for all participants, we will send you a waiver after registration. Waivers are due to Granby Ranch 24 hours before guided trips.

  • First time fly fishing? Not to worry! Our skilled and friendly guides meet all guests at their individual experience and skill levels.

  • We teach and emphasize safety, respect for other anglers, and most especially respect for our fish and fishing environments at all our summer camps, classes and activities. We adhere to CPW guidelines and meet Colorado’s guided fishing/permitting requirements.
